These aren’t your average donuts…
Most donuts chase flavor and leave nutrition as an afterthought. Ours do the opposite—and that’s exactly why they hit harder. We build every donut with protein first, not as a decoration on the label but as the foundation of the entire recipe.
While Big Food and the “protein-packed” imitators sprinkle in a token boost to justify a claim, we pack the majority of calories from real protein and engineer the texture to feel like a cheat meal without the consequences. Soft, rich, and unapologetically satisfying, these donuts prove what happens when you prioritize fuel over filler. This isn’t donut innovation—it’s donut rebellion. And it tastes incredible.
…so they’re packed with protein. What kinds?
Our protein blend is built with intention, not marketing fluff. We combine milk protein isolate, dried egg whites, whey protein isolate, and sodium caseinate—each chosen for how effectively they support lean muscle, deliver a complete amino acid profile, and create the rich, satisfying texture we demand from every Legendary product.
Protein is the most satiating macronutrient, and this blend keeps you fuller, longer, without the crash or compromise. To complement it, we add collagen peptides at levels similar to those naturally found in beef—supporting connective tissue, hair, skin, and nails while rounding out the amino acid profile. The result: a protein system engineered to fuel performance and deliver the flavor experience that sets Legendary miles ahead of “protein-packed” imitators.
How many of the calories come from protein?
At Legendary, we obsess over the percent of calories from protein, called pCal. Having a higher pCal% means that a food delivers more of its calories from protein, relative to carbs and fat.
pCal can be easily calculated with the following steps:
1) Locate the total grams of protein in a product
2) Multiply that number by 4 (there are 4 calories in every gram of product)
3) Divide that number by the total number of calories
4) All done!
Using Legendary Protein Donuts as an example:
1) 20g Protein x 4 Calories = 80 Calories
3) 80 Calories from Protein / 160 Total Calories = 50% pCal
