Another high sugar pastry? Nope.
Most pastries chase sweetness and use protein as a marketing line. We do the opposite. Every recipe starts with protein first, clean macros, and purposeful formulation that delivers flavor, texture, and results. This is what happens when you invest in real food science instead of shortcuts. No trade-offs, no sugar loaded nonsense, and no copycat “protein” snacks pretending to compete.
…so they’re loaded with protein. What kinds?
Our protein pastry begins with our Legendary Protein Dough, a soft and chewy base that carries real structure and real flavor. It is the result of relentless R and D work and an obsession with texture, consistency, and the kind of bite that feels like proper pastry.
Micellar casein and whey protein isolate form the core of our protein system. This duo delivers complete amino acids, supports lean muscle, and drives the flavor and satiety we insist on. Protein is the most filling macronutrient, and we use it intentionally to create a snack that leaves you satisfied instead of searching for more.
Collagen peptides round out the blend by supporting connective tissue, hair, skin, and nails. We use levels similar to what you would find in beef, which helps complete the amino acid profile and reinforces overall performance. Every ingredient earns its place and contributes to how this pastry fuels your day.
How many of the calories come from protein?
At Legendary, we obsess over the percent of calories from protein, called pCal. Having a higher pCal% means that a food delivers more of its calories from protein, relative to carbs and fat.
pCal can be easily calculated with the following steps:
1) Locate the total grams of protein in a product
2) Multiply that number by 4 (there are 4 calories in every gram of product)
3) Divide that number by the total number of calories
4) All done!
Using Legendary Protein Pastries as an example:
1) 20g Protein x 4 Calories = 80 Calories
3) 80 Calories from Protein / 180 Total Calories = 44% pCal
